The Digital Health Laboratory
The Digital Health laboratory focuses on the intersection of medicine, epidemiology, machine learning and biostatistics. We aim to bring ideas and novel methodology from varying fields to bear on research in medicine.
Our research current focuses on three domains:
Causal inference from secondary observational data
Using high-dimensional data sources created for different purposes (e.g., electronic health records, registries) to generate valid research.
Clinical prediction models
Using state of the art methodology to develop and validate prediction models for health outcomes.
Algorithmic Fairness
Exploring the repercussions, positive and negative, of applying quantitative models in healthcare settings.
